The Piedmont Interdisciplinary Studies Journal
The Piedmont Interdisciplinary Studies Journal is a peer-reviewed journal created to highlight undergraduate researchers, although graduate researchers and professionals are welcome to submit. The journal publishes scholarly work from various academic fields including education, social sciences, natural sciences, culture, and business. The journal accepts empirical research, theoretical analyses, meta-analyses, literature review articles, book reviews, and literature-supported student topic papers. The journal is published annually by Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Call for Reviewers
There are vacancies for submission reviewers interested in editing, formatting, and providing feedback. Reviewers will work collaboratively to ensure submissions meet the journal standards.
Submit an Article
- All articles undergo a blind peer-review process by a pool of experts from various fields to ensure the quality of the articles meets the journal publishing requirements and is formatted correctly. The editorial staff makes final publishing decisions.
- Questions regarding revisions are accepted via email.
- Articles can be resubmitted once revisions are completed.
Submission Guidelines
We accept and review manuscripts twice a year in spring and fall. There is no cost associated with submissions.
- We prefer manuscripts to use APA 7th edition.

- Include a 200–250-word abstract
- Submit manuscripts (with abstract) and bio, as attachments. Submit Here.
Submissions should be prepared according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), Seventh Edition, including title page, abstract, keywords, in-text citations, pagination, headings, tables, figures, and reference list. Title page, references, tables, and figures are not included in the word count.

- Undergraduate Research (3000-4000)
- Graduate Research (4000-5000)
- Literature Review/Book Review (3000-4000)
- Theoretical analyses/meta-analyses (3000-4000)
- Literature Supported Student Topic Papers (2000-3000)
Author is responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce tables and figures. A copy of the permission(s) should accompany the manuscript submission.
